For many years, Capital Kids Cricket, has provided the opportunity for children, from some of the most deprived areas of London, to go on residential trips to locations throughout the UK. In the past, these have included Ampleforth College, Radley College and Bradfield School. For two years, we also ran a tour to Yorkshire aimed at players of a higher level.
We have been working closely with the Arundel Castle Foundation for almost 20 years now and, each year we run two residential trips to Arundel for up to 200 children. During the May half term, we take eight school groups, both girls and boys, for a beginner’s cricket residential before returning in July with up to eight clubs from across London for specialised coaching and matches.
In recent years we have had the privilege of adding a trip to Felsted School in Essex to our calendar. In conjunction with The Lord’s Taverners, up to 50 children are given the opportunity to take part in coaching sessions and matches across three days at the prestigious school.
