Spikes Bridge Junior CC - Club History

After receiving funding from the John Lyon’s Charity in June 2016, Capital Kids Cricket began work on starting up a junior cricket club at Spikes Bridge Park in Southall. The project, funded for 3 years, has a long-term goal of developing a self-sustaining junior cricket club with girl’s and boy’s playing cricket across a range of age groups.

The strategy to achieve this is based around coaching in local primary and secondary schools and running indoor training at hubs around Southall during the winter months. In the summer, training moves outside to Spikes Bridge Park.

Alongside training, the children will play both indoor and outdoor matches to put their training into practice. In the first year, these games will be friendlies, but, from the second year onwards, the children will have the opportunity to play in the Middlesex Colts League.
