School Club Link

Our pilot concept is to work with six inner city schools to provide a pathway for children to progress from participating in school cricket sessions to playing club cricket.

Throughout the year, a senior Capital Kids Cricket coach will work for one day a week in a school delivering P.E. lessons and extracurricular activities alongside the teachers. During these sessions, the coaches will be responsible for developing players, introducing hard ball cricket and ultimately creating a school team which will act as a feeder for a local club.

Over the summer holidays, these clubs will then have the opportunity to take part in residential trips and competitions to further improve the players’ abilities.

Beyond the first year we will look to grow the project and link more schools and clubs. Capital Kids Cricket is now working with various partners to raise funds to achieve this.
