British Land Kids Cricket League 2017


The grand final of the 10th British Land Kids Cricket was held at the M.C.C Academy at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 17th March 2017. In a series of competitive and closely fought matches, Little Ealing Primary School of the London Borough of Ealing lifted the winner’s trophy. Close on their heels were runners up, Rhodes Avenue Primary School from the London Borough of Haringey.

The trophy was presented to Little Ealing Primary School by the Deputy Mayor of Ealing, Cllr Simon Woodroofe. The runner up trophy was handed over to Rhodes Avenue Primary School by the Mayor of Haringey Cllr Ali Gul Ozbek. Among the other guests who attended was the Mayor of Islington Kat Fletcher, Councillor Forhad Hussain and Mukesh Patel from Newham, Joanne Hammond from British Land, Mesba Ahmed, CEO of London Tigers..

This year’s League attracted over 2000 girls and boys from over 140 state primary schools, across 14 London boroughs, making it the largest children’s cricket competition in the UK. After five months of inter-borough competition, the eight finalists met at Lord’s for the final.

We are really excited that the standard of cricket continues to improve and the games were very competitive. CKC will continue this competition with a similar format from next year and beyond as the state primary school is our core value of the organisation”.

Ratan thanks all CKC staffs for their hard work to make this a very successful event. Haydn Turner the founder trustee of Capital Kids Cricket handover an appreciation plaque to Joanne Hamond of British Land and thank for their support past 10 years.
